Jessica Luty – Older Toddlers (Head Teacher)

Jessica joined DVMS in 2016 and has been working with infants and toddlers in a group setting for more than eight years. She discovered her passion for working with infants and toddlers while working at her college’s childcare center. Jessica graduated from San Francisco State University in 2016 with a B.A. in Anthropology. She also holds the Child Development Permit at the Master Teacher level (infant/toddler focus). In May 2022, Jessica completed her Montessori training and now holds the Infant and Toddler teaching credential as well.

Deanna Ferrari – Older Toddlers (Lead Teacher)

Deanna was born and raised in the Bay Area and currently resides in Concord with her husband (the town where she also grew up). She was introduced to working with young children in the fall of 1988, when she was hired as an Assistant preschool teacher. Deanna fell in love with the profession and began pursuing her education in the field. Five years later, Deanna had started a family of her own and decided to devote her time to raising/enjoying her three children in the very early years of their lives. As her children were growing and beginning school, she decided to return to teaching and joined the DVMS family in the summer of 2007. Deanna worked in the Infant/Young Toddler classroom as an Assistant teacher and has worked/became certified as a Lead teacher while attending the Montessori Teacher Education Center in San Francisco (where she received her Montessori teaching credential). She truly enjoys getting to be a part of these children’s lives as they grow and develop across various significant stages.

Deanna is an avid baseball fan and enjoys spending time with her family and friends at the ballpark. She also enjoys country music and travels to many concerts around the state. Deanna misses the days when her children were younger, so getting to work with all of the amazing DVMS children gives her true fulfillment!

Demi Mason– Older Toddlers (Assistant Teacher)

Demi Mason joined DVMS in 2019 and has worked throughout the infant/toddler house during her time here. Demi is originally from England, where she obtained her early childhood education credentials. She has been working with infants and toddlers for over 10 years now. Working with young children is one of her passions and she really enjoys watching the children develop and grow. In her free time, Demi enjoys crochet, knitting, reading, and visiting her family in England whenever possible.

Zehava Sciara – Older Toddlers (Assistant Teacher)

Zehava moved to the Bay Area in 1998 and started working as a preschool teacher. Since then she has had three kids of her own and hundreds of students. Although she loves all ages, her favorite age group to work with is infant/toddler because she loves how they grow and change every day. She got her teaching degree in Early Childhood Education from DVC and Saddleback College. In her free time she enjoys hiking, cooking, hosting, reading and traveling with her kids.
