What Is Legacy Giving?
Legacy giving (also called planned giving) is a meaningful way to support DVMS through a future gift—often established through your will, trust, or estate plan. It’s a way to make a lasting difference for years to come.
Ways to Give
There are many flexible and impactful ways to leave a legacy at DVMS:
- Bequests: Designate DVMS as a beneficiary in your will or living trust.
- Retirement Assets: Name DVMS as a beneficiary of your IRA, 401(k), or pension.
- Life Insurance: Make DVMS a full or partial beneficiary of a life insurance policy.

Individuals who include DVMS in their estate plans are welcomed into the DVMS Legacy Circle—a special group of supporters recognized for their vision and generosity. Members may be acknowledged (with permission) in publications, at events, and on campus, and are invited to exclusive legacy events.
